How Do You Turn Business Direction Into the Right People Priorities?

As ILIAS grows and evolves, different parts of the organization face different people challenges.

Teams develop, responsibilities change and new capabilities are needed. Managers need to think beyond today’s priorities and consider the people, leadership and expertise their teams will need next.

This is where HR Business Partnering creates value.

As HR Business Partner, you work alongside leaders across Operations and Business Development. You understand their business context, identify the people priorities behind it and connect managers with the right HR expertise.

From workforce and talent decisions to leadership, development and organizational change, you help managers make thoughtful people decisions and prepare their teams for what comes next.

Understand the business. Enable managers. Build for what comes next.

Meaningful Work

Business change creates people questions long before they become vacancies.

New customers, evolving services and changing priorities can require different expertise. Growing teams may need additional capacity, while experienced people may be ready for broader responsibilities.

As HR Business Partner, you help managers recognize those needs early and turn them into thoughtful decisions about talent, leadership, development and recruitment.

That changes the role HR plays.

Rather than responding when a people challenge appears, you bring business needs and HR expertise together early. Managers gain a trusted partner who understands their world, while HR gains a clear view of where its contribution creates the most value.

Your Mission

Your starting point is the direction of the business and what it means for its people.

Together with business leaders and managers, you translate growth plans and team objectives into workforce, talent, and development priorities. You guide the annual people cycle across capacity planning, performance, reward, succession, and internal mobility, while identifying where additional hiring is needed.

You bring Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Operations, and other HR specialists together around those priorities.

Through practical guidance, clear frameworks, and leadership development, you enable managers to take greater ownership of performance, reward, employee relations, and team development. Insights around onboarding, team effectiveness, and development flow back into HR and shape future priorities.

What You Bring

You understand the rhythm of a customer focused and operational organization.

Customer commitments matter. Delivery matters too. You can work with immediate business needs while keeping sight of the people and leadership decisions that support sustainable growth.

You understand that a performance conversation can quickly become a conversation about leadership, capacity, reward, or future talent. You know how to look beyond the immediate question and identify what the business really needs.

You also bring:

  • Around five to eight years of broad HR experience, including HR Business Partnering or a comparable advisory role.
  • Previous HR partnering experience within Operations, Customer Services, Business Development, Account Management or a comparable business environment.
  • Experience with workforce planning, performance, talent, succession, and internal mobility.
  • Experience advising and enabling managers.
  • The ability to coordinate work across different HR specialties.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience, in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English. Dutch is required.
  • Experience with Belgian employment legislation is an advantage.

The preferred location is Diegem, Belgium, with the Netherlands also possible.

Build Your Future with ILIAS

What ILIAS needs from its organization continues to evolve.

New customers bring new expectations, teams take on broader responsibilities, and the expertise needed across the business continues to develop. For HR, that creates an opportunity to contribute while those changes are taking shape.

In this role, you work alongside leaders as they build their teams for what comes next. At the same time, you broaden your own experience across different business areas, people challenges, and stages of organizational development.

As ILIAS moves forward, there is room for you to move forward with it.

Build your future while helping shape ours.
