As a Senior GL Accountant, you help ensure that financial information remains complete, reliable, and properly supported. Your work contributes to the financial foundation of a growing international software company operating in a highly structured environment.

You will work closely with finance colleagues and stakeholders across the organization while contributing to reporting, compliance, financial controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is more than a traditional General Ledger role.

You work within an international software organization where multiple legal entities, reporting requirements, and stakeholders come together. Financial information needs to be accurate, complete, and properly supported to ensure reliable reporting and compliance across the organization.

Working closely with finance colleagues and stakeholders across the business, you help ensure that financial records accurately reflect the organization's activities and obligations.


Complex Challenges, Clear Solutions

You manage month end closings, reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.

In addition, you contribute to HFM reporting, IFRS related activities, finance process improvements, and the continued development of NetSuite and connected systems.

You help ensure that transactions are processed correctly, balances are properly reconciled, supporting documentation is available, and reporting meets the required quality standards.

Within a compact finance team, ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement are part of daily operations.

Your Mission

How You Create Value

• Take ownership of General Ledger activities and month end closings

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

• Ensure the accurate processing and reporting of revenue, costs, accruals, and other financial transactions

• Analyze and resolve financial discrepancies and reporting issues

• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to obtain and validate information supporting accurate financial reporting

• Support audits, statutory reporting, tax reporting, and compliance activities

• Support HFM reporting activities and IFRS related reporting

• Contribute to finance process improvements, ERP optimizations, and reporting validations within NetSuite and connected systems

• Support broader finance projects and ad hoc financial analyses


Your Capabilities

What You Bring


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3+ years of relevant experience within accounting or finance

• Experience with General Ledger accounting and month end closings

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accruals, operational costs, and accounting processes

• Knowledge of Belgian GAAP. IFRS exposure is a plus

• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and reporting structures

• Fluent in Dutch and English

• Structured, analytical, and comfortable working with ownership and autonomy

You identify inconsistencies, resolve discrepancies, and help maintain high standards in financial reporting, compliance, and governance.

Working within a compact team of 4 finance professionals, you contribute to a broad range of accounting and reporting activities while supporting the continued development of the finance function.
